This vibrant collection is inspired by the last Brooklyn Museum exhibit I saw before Covid-19 - Pierre Cardin: Future Fashion. Cardin’s short and striking styles, contrasting colors and surprising size and shape configuration have always dazzled me. My artwork isn’t just an homage to his style, it’s about the JOY and weightlessness I felt moving through the museum’s exhibit. It’s about my perfect museum day. I became fast friends with a security guard who captured my giddy smile all over the exhibit. I danced in Cardin’s electric design room in the middle of the afternoon. My eyes and heart devoured the vivid colors and imaginative design. I left the exhibit radiating joy, floating with my head in the clouds, inspired, and elevated. I hope my artwork perpetuates everyday joy for the viewer.
